Best Buddies

The goal of the Mercy Best Buddies Chapter is to create an inclusive social environment and help spark real, true friendships that will last outside the club and classroom.

Mercy is unique to the Best Buddies Organization because we have a joint program with School of the Holy Childhood, Creekside School and Bird/Morgan School, a special education program at BOCES #1! They both help prepare “children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities for maximum independence and integration in the community through individualized programs and services”.

2021-2022 SCHOOL YEAR

2020-2021 SCHOOL YEAR

During this very different year, our student members have created “HOW-TO” videos. These videos were sent to the teachers at School of the Holy Childhood and BOCES #2 Bird/Morgan school to share with their students remotely. It is our hope that we continue to connect with our Best Buddies in safe, virtual ways during this uncertain Pandemic time. We strive to connect, make a difference and build friendships.

Colby was so proud of his ‘help’ with Henry that he asked for a letter saying what a good helper he was! Thank you Colby for sharing your love with Mercy Best Buddies!!!
